Uniform Insignias of the
Delaware State Police

	In 1925, the first State Police patch was blue and white in color and depicted a spoked wheel with wings and an arrow.
In 1929, the second State Police patch : a diamond stating "STATE POLICE " khaki and blue in color depicting a mother hen and three chicks. (represents the state and its three counties) In 1942, the third State Police patch: similar to the 1929 patch. Only change was "STATE POLICE" was moved within the diamond.
	In 1944, the fourth State Police patch: a diamond stating "DELAWARE STATE POLICE". The border was navy blue as was the lettering. The background was yellow.
In 1956, the fifth and present State Police patch is a seven color patch depicting the Delaware Great Seal.
	Displayed is a uniform badge worn by a Delaware State Trooper.
This patch was designed in 1998 for the 75th Anniversary of the Delaware State Police.  Although, never worn on a uniform, this patch was made for memorabilia.
