In 1925, the first State Police patch was blue and white in color and depicted a spoked wheel with wings and an arrow. |
| In 1929, the second State Police patch : a diamond stating "STATE POLICE " khaki and blue in color depicting a mother hen and three chicks. (represents the state and its three counties) In 1942, the third State Police patch: similar to the 1929 patch. Only change was "STATE POLICE" was moved within the diamond. | ![]() |

In 1944, the fourth State Police patch: a diamond stating "DELAWARE STATE POLICE". The border was navy blue as was the lettering. The background was yellow. |
